Frozen (2013) - a very well made animated film with a pretty good story along with great voice acting, memorable quotes and some brilliant Music. Frozen is the first animated film I have watched this year and it has been a great one.

The Croods (2013) - very, very nice animation but not a great movie. Yes, it's funny at times but I wasn't gripped by the story at all and didn't truly care about any of the characters.

Waynes World 2 - a film that I personally found as good as the first which is rare for a sequel. I really enjoyed it and found it hilarious. The story was great too and really did fit the Waynes World... world. If you get me? Haha.

Rat Race (2001) - this is a very good movie with a great cast. It's very funny and the plot is great too. The ending was also fantastic and wasn't predictable at all. One of my new favorite comedies. I'm not sure why it only has a 6.4 on IMDb.

Groundhog Day (1993) - a good movie with great acting and an interesting concept and plot. I found it funny for the most part and enjoyed it a lot. It reminded me a lot of 50 First Dates (I know this is older)

Here Comes the Boom (2012) - this film was actually pretty good. It's funny, the story is actually quite nice and the characters are likable. Yes, it's cringe worthy at times and is very linear but I really enjoyed it. However, it's far from a masterpiece.

Army of Darkness (Uncut Version) - I liked it but I didn't love it. The humor is silly which I like but for some reason I didn't feel like I was enjoying it as much as I expected I would. It started of great but I lost interest halfway through. Still it's not a bad movie and I did like the ending. Maybe I need to watch the Evil Dead films first and give this a revisit? Maybe just watch the shorter version?

By the way, I have nothing against the visuals. I really liked them.

Stand By Me (1986) - wow, well I was expecting this film to be good but not this good! Stand By Me is incredible. Great acting, great story, great music and some great camera work. I can't fault much about this film. I wasn't expecting it to be as serious as it was either. This film is funny at times but is also very powerful and serious.

Safety Not Guaranteed (2012) - a good movie, with great acting and an interesting story but the ending could have been much better. A lot of smaller stories in the film remained unfinished. However, this doesn't ruin the film. I still enjoyed it.

23rd February Cont.

The Way Way Back (2013) - another great film. A very powerful movie although sometimes slightly unrealistic in my opinion (but that's normally only during the comedy elements). All the "problems" within the narrative weren't completely resolved but I guess that's a true representation of life. I enjoyed this film a lot.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012) - wow, I don't know what it was about this film but I just found it to be incredible. I LOVED it from start to finish. I really can't describe how much I liked this film. But just put it this way. It takes the number 1 spot on my favorite films of all time list. The only thing I would want to improve is its length. I wanted it to be longer. However, I probably liked this film more than most.

Little Miss Sunshine (2006) - apart from the last 15 minutes or so (which was actually very good) and a few scenes in between that were emotional, I didn't like this film as much as I'd hoped to have. This is probably because the only characters I really cared about were the two younger ones and I wasn't fond of the story. It isn't a bad film though, it has its moments.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982) - I enjoyed this film but I didn't think it was brilliant. However this is probably because this film is a lot older than I am and it seems to be a film that holds a lot of nostalgic value for those who were alive and and around their teens at the time of its release. I also found it hard to believe the events that happened in the film (I'm not sure if this was intended though). However, it was still a fun watch and I am glad I watched it.

Nick and Norahs Infinite Playlist (2008) - this film was ok but it wasn't great. It was slightly funny at times for for the most part I found it a little bit silly. It's not a realistic film and the acting isn't outstanding but I did like the characters and I do like Cera as an actor quite a lot. It was enjoyable but also skippable.

26th February 2014 cont

The Godfather (1972) - my greatest fear of watching this film has become true. I didn't enjoy it. Not because it's a bad film. It's far from it. It's just I personally don't have an amazing attention span. I couldn't follow the story closely enough to understand a lot of the narrative and the accents sometimes put me off but it was the length that did it for me. The cast was pretty large and apart from the main cast I couldn't always keep up with the characters (in fact to be honest I sometimes had issues following some of the main cast). My dislike for this film isn't from the fault of the film but rather from myself. I will probably watch this film again someday and even watch the second and third installments but this will probably be a while from now. Also, despite me not liking the film I would will like to point out that the acting from Marlon Brando (I only know his name from iMDB) was outstanding and I have probably never seen acting as good as that in my life. The acting from the rest of the cast was brilliant too.  I'm not going to give this film a rating because it would be unfair. My enjoyment rating was low but the film as a whole is obviously very good. I hope you understand what I am trying to get at here. Don't be hating me for it haha.

Weird Science (1985) - yeah, I liked this quite a bit actually even though it's pretty silly. The guys definitely don't look like nerds but it doesn't ruin anything. It's nothing super-special but it's good and definitely worth a watch. Did the term  "How about a nice greasy pork sandwich served in a dirty ashtray?" originally come from this movie? I'm intrigued.

The Jerk (1979) - pretty funny and enjoyable but far from perfect. It's a little too silly at times but usually the silliness is funny. The ending was fairly good too.

U Want Me 2 Kill Him? (2013) - this is a very interesting film with a brilliant and compelling storyline. It has a crazy ending and what makes it better is that it is VERY closely based on a true story. I liked this film a lot. Definitely worth a watch.

Let it Ride (1989) - I thought that this film was good but it was far from great. I didn't really like the message the film put out. Some of the scenes were funny but some of the responses and reactions to some of the happenings in the movie were in my opinion highly unrealistic. Still, it was worth a watch.
