I'm sure all of you out their know how to burn a CD. But have you ever heard of burning a tape?
Here's a VCR straight out of the stone age, dug out of the wet and musty depths of someone's basement.

Thanks. My original plan was to use the vintage VCR in the second video to burn the tapes in. But when I found out the machine didn't work, I had to find a substitute VCR to do the experiment with.

Ah right ok, at least you got two videos out of it instead.

Awesome videos! I commented on YT. I've burned some tapes myself, in fact the cassette was one of my first episodes.
Cassette tape in microwave. I'd initially planned to just let it melt a little but I walked away and when I came back it was burning and burning. I thought it was cool so I just left it go.
VHS tape in a microwave. I was doing this on the back porch so that's why I killed the fire so quickly. But it was really hard to extinguish and didn't want to go out on its own.
8mm camcorder tape in a microwave. This is the least cool of the ones I did because it never caught fire except a little at the end. It just smoked a lot.
