Planet Terror (2007) - this film is crazy. Lots of violence, gore, humor and very interesting effects. This film had much more gore than I was expecting. It's great fun. Don't watch this film if you're looking for a good story though.
My rating: 7.5/10

Fargo (1996) - a brilliant movie which for some reason I expected to be a comedy. Nevertheless though, it was great and the story is truly incredible. The cast is also pretty fantastic. If you haven't watched it just do it.
My Rating: 9/10
Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003) [REWATCH] - this is a film I watched for the first time a fair while ago and I was much younger than I am now. I wasn't able to appreciate the film as much back then so I am super glad that I rewatched this because this film is crazy good. I'm sure most of you have seen this so for those who haven't please, just watch it. I plan to re-watch Vol. 2 very soon. Below is one of my favorite scenes.
My Rating: 10/10
I am glad to say both of these films have made it to my top 10.

6th Match 2014
Robot & Frank (2012) - an average movie but it didn't do anything for me. The acting is fine but the story wasn't my thing at all and didn't really care for the characters. I'd skip this one.
My Rating: 58/100

Evil Dead II (1987) - this film was great fun and I even prefered it to the first one. Love the cartoon/false feel and the super over-the-top gore and crazy humor. A great film, I will more than likely watch Army of Darkness again in the near future because I understand it a lot more now.

Bloodsport (1988) - a pretty good movie but it was nothing special. It's what you'd expect really.

Up in Smoke (1978) - I am actually surprised I liked this film as much as I did. It wasn't brilliant (the story is stupid, but I guess it's supposed to be). Some of the lines in this film are the best I've heard in a long while. I'm glad I watched this film and it's definitely worth a watch.

Cheech and Chongs Next Movie (1980) - not as good as the first but still pretty good and it made me laugh. I hope that they don't get worse from now on like the iMDB ratings state. I hope they're still pretty funny.

Nice Dreams (1981) - pretty average but sometimes kind of funny I guess. They really do seem to be getting worse progressively as stated earlier. Not really worth the watch considering there are better films out there.

Natural Born Killers (1994) - watching this film was another part of my research for my film studies study on Tarantino and the possible effects of violence in films and wow. This film ticks all the boxes "research-wise". However, I also liked it a lot. I thought that the crazy style was actually good and worked well. Definitely worth a watch even though it is a little creepy if you get what I mean.

Lone Survivor (2013) - one of the best war films I have ever seen. The story is incredible and intriguing and led me to look into it a little more after watching the film. The realism of some of the bullet wounds is also incredible and almost makes you believe you could be watching the real thing. However, the film really doesn't go anywhere when the operation is over, we don't see what happens next or him being awarded anything but this is fine because the purpose of the film is to also help remember those who died and not to focus too much on Mark Wahlberg whom is portraying Marcus Luttrell even though he is the "Lone Survivor". They kept the last 4-5 minutes or so to show real pictures and footage of those who died. I'd definitely recommend a watch.

EDIT// - This is actually a remake of a 2011 film "Starbuck" so it's not actually original. However, I still enjoyed this film a lot.

Delivery Man (2013) - this was actually a lot better than I was expecting. This is a very heartfelt film with a very original concept which has been executed very well. If you haven't seen this already then please watch it. I don't understand the rating on iMDB.

Donnie Darko: Directors Cut (2001) - this is my first ever watch of Donnie Darko and I thought that it was beyond great and it is possibly the best of its type that I have seen (mindbending). I understood a tiny bit of the film but most of it had to be verified by watching YouTube explanation videos. I understood that the engine came from 28 days in the future explaining why there was no explanation for it in the primary universe. But that was obvious. The rest of the film isn't too hard to understand once explained but for a first watch it was pretty mind blowing. I can't believe I waited this long to watch this movie.

Ruthless People (1986) - an okay film with an okay story. It's nothing fantastic and I didn't find it particularly funny even though. You can skip this one. I'm sure it won't be keeping you up at night.

Hot Rod (2007) - predictable, but fun. Hot Rod is a typical feel-good movie. However, with its crazy edits and over the top humor I actually enjoyed it quite a lot. It's missable but its still a great movie to watch it you just want to sit down and watch something fun and not have to deal with anything in-depth or non-linear.

Enough Said (2013) - a decent romantic feel-good movie with both its good and bad points. It's flawed and I'd like to have seen more of one of the smaller stories in the film. However, I still enjoyed the film even though I thought that the ending was somewhat abrupt.

When Harry Met Sally... (1989) - a fantastic romantic film with a great story with some very good acting. It had its moments where some of the happenings become too much of a coincidence but the film does remain more or less believable.

Pretty Woman (1990) - fantastic movie, I never knew it was about a prostitute I just thought it was a normal romantic film. I enjoyed it and it's another well known movie off my list.

Memento (2000) - although it didn't "spark" for me as much as Donnie Darko did I still thought that this was a great film. I still don't understand all of it (a lot of it) but after some research I'm sure I will be able to find some of the mysteries out and if I don't then that could be a good reason to rewatch it. The opening scene of this film was incredible I must say.
My Rating: 84/100 (Maybe worth a re-rating in the future when I can understand it a little better)

13 Sins (2014) - not very good at all. I prefered the original "13: Game of Death". This film had a good start but it just got stupid, however the original was pretty stupid too. I like these types of concepts but the last 30 minutes or so of this film was awful.

Kill Bill Vol. 2 - fantastic film although not as good as the first. I found that a few scenes dragged a tiny bit but I suppose that Vol. 2 is more about the story telling than the action as the action is fairly minial. At least compared to Vol. 1. I still thought that it was brilliant though.

Cheap Thrills (2013) - this is yet another "dare for money game" movie. Nothing particularly shocked me but I did find some of the scenes pretty grisly and the film fulfilled my expectations pretty well. I enjoyed it. It's a LOT better than 13 Sins.

Grandma's Boy (2006) - a decent stoner comedy with a storyline which interested me a fair bit. It's a feel good movie which remains mostly positive throughout. It doesn't really have much conflict at all. This a good and a bad thing.

The Tournament (2009) - although this is just another Battle Royale style movie I did actually enjoy it. It was a lot better than I thought it would be even though the action was very unrealistic and over-the-top. I liked the ending and the little side-stories were good too.
